The Bigger Picture

With the hearings happen and decision to be made soon there is a lot of focus on Prop 8 in California, but there are other great things happening across the nation. Being a Californian I know how we can be a bit California centric so here some other state news.

Both Illinois and Vermont are moving forward in their achievement of full marriage equality.

The Bilerico Project reports:

An Illinois House committee passed a bill that would extend legal recognition and benefits limited to same-sex couples.
And a Vermont television is predicting that the Granite state will approve same-sex marriage within weeks - with or without the Governor's signature.
